Roda Deaco was founded by Ron Bodnar in Edmonton, Alberta to meet the needs of new safety rules in Canada in the early 1990s.  They used the swing gate design as a slim-fitting answer to tight engine pipe work. By offering small valve sizes and specially-machined adaptors, he could fit almost any size vehicle or industrial engine with an air intake shutoff valve. In 2007, the company joined AMOT’s brand family and expanded the air shut off valve product lines.
