2-Way Thermostatic Control Valve
Overview
Model C2 thermostatic valves cover multiple sizes and settings for fluid temperature control. They can be mounted in any position, and use the thermal expansion of a copper-wax compound to actuate element assemblies. The valves are available in two versions:
1) Temperature-opening
Remains closed below the setpoint and progressively opens
when the temperature exceeds the setpoint.
2) Temperature-closing
Remains open below the setpoint and progressively closes
when the temperature exceeds the setpoint.

Typical Applications
- Temperature control
- Temperature regulation in various systems such as tanks, district‑heating installations, engines, and gear units - Temperature limitation
- Prevents excessively low temperatures, functioning as frost protection
- Prevents overheating in hot‑water pipelines - Water‑saving systems
- Maintains a minimum flow through the cooler for proper operation but shuts down unnecessary flow when the temp. is sufficiently low or high
